1. Who we are
AmmaBhojanam is a brand operated by Cogniroll, a partnership firm registered in India with its principal place of business at 3rd Floor, Flat 201, SSVR Lilac, 1st Cross, 1st Block, Akshaya Nagar, Ramamurthy Nagar, K R Puram, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560016, India (GSTIN 29AAWFC6003F1ZB). In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cogniroll.
2. What we do
AmmaBhojanam is a marketplace that connects customers with independent home chefs and delivery partners. We are not a restaurant and we do not cook the food ourselves. Meals are prepared by independent home chefs who list on our platform, and delivered by independent delivery partners.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and place orders.
- You register using your mobile number and verify it with a one-time password. You are responsible for keeping access to that number secure.
- You agree to provide accurate delivery addresses and contact details. Incorrect details may result in a failed delivery for which no refund is due.
4. Orders
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. The order is confirmed only when a home chef accepts it.
- Menus, prices and availability change daily and depend on the chefs available near you.
- Each chef has limited capacity per delivery slot. Slots close once full.
- We may refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or where delivery is not feasible.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in Indian Rupees and include the meal price, delivery charge, platform fee and applicable GST, all shown before payment. See our Pricing page for a full breakdown. Online payments are handled by our payment gateway partner; we do not store your card or UPI credentials.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation windows and refund timelines are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Delivery
We deliver in Bengaluru, Karnataka and Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, within range of a participating home chef, during the delivery slots listed in our Delivery Policy.
8. Food safety and allergens
Meals are cooked in home kitchens. While we require chefs to follow hygiene standards, home kitchens are not allergen-controlled environments and food may come into contact with nuts, dairy, gluten, shellfish or other allergens.
If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please check with us before ordering and use the special instructions field. You order at your own discretion where allergies are concerned.
9. Obligations of home chefs
Home chefs listing on AmmaBhojanam agree to prepare food hygienically, describe dishes accurately, honour accepted orders, and comply with applicable food safety laws. Repeated cancellations or quality complaints may result in removal from the platform.
10. Acceptable use
- Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
- Do not post reviews or content that is false, abusive or infringes others' rights.
- Do not attempt to contract with chefs or delivery partners outside the platform to avoid fees.
11. Reviews and content
You may post ratings and reviews of orders. By doing so you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform. We may remove content that breaches these terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the last updated date shown above. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
