Delivery Policy

AmmaBhojanam delivers freshly cooked meals from home chefs directly to your door. Here is where we deliver, when, and what it costs.

Where we deliver

We currently serve:

  • Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

Within these cities, delivery is available only where a home chef is within range of your address. The app checks this automatically when you enter your delivery address — if no chef is close enough, you will be told before you place an order rather than after.

Delivery time slots

Meals are cooked fresh for a chosen slot rather than dispatched immediately, so you select a delivery window at checkout:

Lunch

12:30 PM – 3:00 PM

Dinner

6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Each chef offers a limited number of orders per slot. Once a slot is full it closes for that day, so ordering earlier gives you more choice.

Delivery charges

Delivery is charged per order and calculated from the distance between the home chef and your delivery address, starting at ₹30. The exact amount is always shown on the checkout screen before you pay — there are no delivery charges added afterwards.

Tracking your delivery

Once your meal is ready and picked up, you can follow the delivery partner live in the app. You will also receive status updates in the app and on WhatsApp as your order is accepted, cooked, picked up and delivered.

If you are unavailable

Our delivery partner will call you on the number registered with your account when they arrive. Because the food is freshly cooked and perishable, we can only wait a short time.

  • If we cannot reach you, the delivery partner will wait up to 10 minutes at your address.
  • If you remain unreachable, the order is marked undelivered and no refund is due, as the meal has been prepared and cannot be resold.
  • Please make sure your address and phone number are correct and that someone can receive the order in your chosen slot.

Delays

Traffic, weather and unexpected demand can occasionally delay a delivery. We will keep you updated in the app if your order is running late. If a delay is substantial and caused by us, contact support and we will make it right.
