What makes up your bill
- Meal price — set for each dish and shown on the menu. This is what you see when you add an item to your cart.
- Delivery charge — calculated from the distance between the home chef and your address, starting at ₹30.
- Platform fee — 2% of the meal subtotal. This covers running the platform, payment processing and customer support.
- GST — 5% on food and 18% on the delivery charge, as required by Indian tax law.
- Packaging — if you choose steel tiffin or eco-friendly packaging, any applicable charge is shown at checkout before payment.

Discounts and wallet points
- First order discount — new customers receive a discount on their first order, applied automatically to the meal subtotal.
- Wallet points — 1 point equals ₹1. Points earned from promotions or service credits are applied to your next order.
- Free delivery — where offered on your account, the delivery charge is waived and shown as ₹0 at checkout.
Payment methods
We accept UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking, and cash on delivery where available. Online payments are processed by our payment gateway partner — AmmaBhojanam does not store your card or UPI credentials.
For home chefs
Home chefs set their own price for each dish and receive that amount for every order. AmmaBhojanam adds a commission on top of the chef's price to arrive at the customer-facing menu price, so the chef's earnings are never reduced by platform charges. Earnings are settled to the chef's registered bank account.
